Capital Sun are a four-piece folky-rock band from Birmingham England. The band’s major influences are bands and artists from the late 60s early 70s, which combined with very current lyrical themes, gives the band a pertinent sound to today’s listener. The band began as an acoustic duo called Mute Existence, with founder members Glen Boden (Acoustic Guitar & Vocals) and Andrew Smith (Electric Guitar).
Over time the songs required a bigger sound. Andy started playing the Electric Guitar and two new members were recruited in the form of Luke Weston (Bass Guitar) and Chris Taylor (Drums). This is when Mute Existence became ‘Capital Sun. A powerful, progressive and dynamic sound, combined with a charismatic performance that will always leave a crowd asking for more.
